Objectives

The Examination Committee is a Standing Committee of the Institute of Chartered Technical Practitioners of Canada. The majority of the Committee's work relates to the examinations of applicants, although there are other matters considered by the Committee

Function

  • The Committee is responsible for establishing and setting the educational standards of admission into the Institute.
  • The Committee is responsible for setting, marking and reviewing questions, examination papers, technical reports, technical examinations and the Ethics 101 exam.
  • The Committee ensures the standard, validity and fairness of examinations and produces appropriate pass lists.
  • The Committee recommends to the Board of Directors suitable individuals to become members of a specific membership / certification category and also recommends suitable Members to become certified.
  • Members of the Examination Committee are also members of the Executive on the Board of Directors of the Institute.
  • The Examination Committee works closely with the Registrar of the Institute to determine eligibility for membership and to ensure proper documentations have been received as required by the EEE Standards.
  • It is imperative to state that, one of the main objectives of the committee is to assist its applicants and members to successfully achieve their goals through step-by-step guidance and uninterrupted communication.
