Disciplines of Registration and Certification
The following disciplines of registration are available to individuals who are interested in being registered or certified in the Institute as Technical Practitioners or Chartered Technical Practitioners based on proven general academic standards, or work experience/training related specifically to one or more sub-branches in a specialized field of knowledge and practice. Upon filling out the application for admission into the Institute, applicants must indicate a specific branch in which they are knowledgeable and competent.

Computer Aided Design General Fabrication General Industrial Trades Food Processing & Equipment Technical Sales & Management* Based on submitted documents, applicants may have to write a technical examination in their specific field of knowledge, work experience and training to ensure competence. Examinations may be waived in a particular case at the discretion of the Examination Committee of the Institute. * In order to qualify for that category, applicants must possess a 3 year technology diploma / degree with a minimum of five years work experience of which one year includes hands-on work experience in design relevant to the technical specialty. |
