Examinations

Applicants who have fulfilled the educational and work experience requirements of the Chartered Techincal Practitioner's category, must write and pass the Institute's Ethics examination prior to issuing the membership certificate. ALL applicable fees (as shown below) must accompany the application form without exceptions. Candidate's who have written and passed an ethics exam through another professional organization are exempt from writing the Ethics 101 exam. Candidates must submit a proof of passing such an exam, and it is at the sole discretion of the Examination Committee to determine whether such an exam is deemed acceptable or not.

Ethics Examination Fees

One time Application Fee is applicable	$ 40.00 Cdn.
Ethics 101 Examination	$ 150.00 Cdn.

Please note that the textbooks for the Ethics 101 examination are at additional cost and can be purchased directly from the Institute. The two textbooks are 'Ethics in Engineering' and 'Practical Law'. No substitutes are allowed. Payments must be made payable to: The Institute of Chartered Technical Practitioners of Canada OR ICTPC. Payments can be made by: Personal Cheques, Certified Cheques, Money Order, or Money Gram.
